Nurse caring for a patient transferred from a COVID lockdown unit

I just got a transfer patient from one of the Covid-19 lockdown units. He was ruled out as negative for the disease. His room on my unit has a window that overlooks the park outside. Seeing his tension come off his shoulders when he finally sat down with the door wide open and looking outside talking to his wife on the phone - it was beautiful. I am humbled to take care of him until he can go home. I cannot imagine what the last few days must have been like for him, but I will do everything I can to make sure he feels safe and good.
